Three Windy City dealerships win Harley-Davidson Silver Bar & Shield

ST CHARLES, COUNTRYSIDE and OTTAWA, IL – The Windy City Motorcycle Co. announces that three of its Harley-Davidson dealerships have earned the Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Achievement Award for 2016 from The Motor Co.

Honored were Fox River Harley-Davidson in St. Charles, Illinois Harley-Davidson in Countryside, and Starved Rock Harley-Davidson in Ottawa.

The award is given to dealers based on motorcycle and related product sales performance, customer service and satisfaction, and operational measures. “These dealers were near the top 5 percent of Harley-Davidson dealers in the country,” Windy City said in a press release.

“We’re proud to present these high honors to the Windy City Motorcycle Co. in recognition of the outstanding work being done at Fox River, Illinois and Starved Rock,” said Mike Kennedy, vice president and managing director for Harley-Davidson in the United States. “Dealers like the Windy City Motorcycle Co. are a big reason why Harley-Davidson is one of the most respected and recognized brands in the world, and why we enjoy having the loyalty and commitment of our riders.”

Windy City Motorcycle Co., founded and owned by Ozzie and Jill Giglio, operates 10 dealerships and three retail centers in Illinois and Wisconsin, including the three mentioned above, as well as recent acquisitions Milwaukee Harley-Davidson and Woodstock Harley-Davidson. The dealer group employs more than 400.

Windy City said that it trained more than 1,000 customers to ride motorcycles during 2016. The dealer group also supports nonprofit causes to combat autism, lymphoma and muscular dystrophy and Lyme disease, and contributes to Operation Support Our Troops.
