BRP Ryker Eliminates Barriers To Entry

RP has been breaking down the barriers to entry with the Can-Am Ryker this year. BRP believes it is achieving a badly needed phenomenon in the powersports industry -- significant growth fueled by new, younger, and more diverse riders.

"We attribute the success to two core elements -- product innovation aimed at accessibility (pricing + ease of riding) and a massive focus on rider training,

explains Brian Manning, Lead, Global Consumer Relations for BRP. "We identified these as significant barriers-to-entry early in the product development phase and haven't wavered since."

To demonstrate the effectiveness of this strategy, BRP brought together 13 women to learn to ride the Ryker with one of their Rider Education Program school partners. Day 1 was training. Day 2 was hitting the road!

"No, this isn't two wheels," Manning readily admits. "But it's a hell of a lot of fun to ride. Just a different type of fun. And everybody should have access to the incredible thrill of riding"

Quick Stats:

- 30% of Rykers owners are female

- 42% of Ryker owners are new to riding

- 193 active Can-Am riding schools (where you learn to ride on Can-Am vehicles)

- 20,000+ people have gone through Can-Am Rider Education since its inception

- 50/50 split female/male for Can-Am Rider Education attendees
