The National Powersports Dealer Association had targeted the AIMExpo as its proof of concept litmus test, but even NPDA Organizational Director Darris Blackford was blown away by the positive results. By responding to Dealer needs, the fledgling association rolled into Las Vegas looking to double up… instead they hit the jackpot and came away from the tables with 300 dues paying dealer members.
“This association, created by and for Dealers, is establishing itself as a force in the Powersports industry,” says Blackford. “NPDA is focused on helping Dealers run their businesses more successfully and serve their customers better. Together with our 20 Strategic Partners, we are able to offer educational programming, industry expertise and even opportunities for special deals and incentives to our members. With the help of the NPDA, Dealers have an ally for moving their businesses forward."
Blackford notes it was the Tucker Powersports bombshell announcement at AIMExpo that was the biggest win for Dealers. “One of the most important things to happen in the history of the National Powersports Dealer Association occurred last month when our Strategic Partner, Tucker Powersports, announced it would be providing free or reduced cost memberships to its Dealer customers doing a certain amount of business with them.”
The NPDA had a very active presence at the February 15-17 AIMExpo. "We had a show booth, held a series of private meetings for Harley-Davidson Dealers, Board members and Advisors were featured show speakers, and we held our first Annual Update Meeting," noted NPDA Chair Bob Althoff. "But the partnership with Tucker is certainly the biggest win in Las Vegas!"
