Further unwinding the vertical, former MAG powerhouse brand Roland Sands Design has entered an exclusive distribution deal with Comoto, umbrella omni-channel operation for mail order giants RevZilla and J&P along with the Cycle Gear chain of retail outlets. Under this sales and distribution partnership, Comoto becomes the exclusive U.S. distributor for RSD Apparel through their entity Upshift Distribution, while also offering 3PL services for the brand's direct-to-consumer fulfillment.
“Aligning with the Comoto group ensures best in class sales operations for our dealer’s and efficient fulfillment to the end consumer," claims says Rob Ramlose, RSD's new Director of Product. "Revzilla and J&P Cycles are powerhouse eCommerce retailers and have always been huge supporters of our apparel business. With UpShift managing our dealer network, we feel this partnership is a great opportunity for all involved.”
“We’ve always been excited about two wheels; it’s 100% what drives our business, the bike builds, parts and apparel, and the Comoto crew shares that moto stoke," adds Roland Sands, President/CEO of RSD. "With that as a concrete foundation for both businesses, we can’t lose.”
Stevan Popovich, VP, Merchandising and Business Development at Comoto, explains, “This strategy will allow for Comoto to maximize business potential through multiple channels including our eCommerce platforms Revzilla & J&P Cycles, our retail chain Cycle Gear and UpShift Distribution LLC, which will target motorcycle dealerships and specialist retailers in the U.S.”
Not to be confused with Simon Cudby's ADV magazine, UpShift Distribution LLC is an independent importer and distributor of high-quality motorcycle apparel, accessories and parts, serving motorcycle dealerships and specialist retailers throughout the U.S., according to Comoto. Headquartered on the East Coast UpShift utilizes extremely efficient distribution centers to service both sides of the country.
