ROXOR is not a kit car or a trademark infringement according to the preliminary findings. On Wednesday, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) Investigative staff stated it "believes that Mahindra & Mahindra and Mahindra Automotive North America, Inc. met their burden of establishing that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), parent company to Jeep, is contractually barred from enforcing intellectual property rights and that "FCA is contractually barred from pursuing this investigation if Mahindra's vehicles contain or use the approved grille design."

"ROXOR is manufactured and assembled here in the United States. It is neither an imported vehicle nor a CKD," stated Rich Ansell, VP of Mahindra Automotive North America. "While the Commission's Investigative Staff has indeed stated its support of Mahindra's position concluding that FCA is contractually barred from pursuing this Investigation,' cautions Ansell. "The ITC judge has not yet issued his opinion on the matter, but will take into consideration the positions of all the parties. We expect a formal ruling from the ITC judge at the end of December."

For the record, Mahindra began manufacturing these vehicles 70 years ago. One of the primary points of contention is Jeep's 7 grilles vs, ROXOR 5 grille format... Stay tuned!
