Last chance to weigh in with USTR on helmets. The good news was that thanks to Congressmen Burgess, Curtis and Walberg, Helmet Tariffs were excluded last time around… the bad news is that the exclusion is up! Motorcycle helmets were excluded from tariffs until September 1, 2020

"Please write to the USTR because safety equipment must remain affordable and readily available to all riders," said Scott Schloegel, SVP of the MIC Government Relations Office. "We would appreciate everyone's support on this critical issue and it would be great if copies of any remarks submitted were also forwarded to me at sschloegel@mic.org, so we know which companies view this as a priority."

Schloegel says industry-wide help is needed to ensure that prices don't go up on many popular helmets that are manufactured in China. “United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer must be persuaded to extend China List 4A helmet tariff exclusions, and comments from across the powersports industry need to be submitted by next Thursday, July 30:
