Toni Bou’s unorthodox home-based training regime is working. He just won round #1 of the COVID delayed TrialsGP championship in convincing fashion, with a near-perfect opener. After the first stage was thrown out, Bou scored a single penalty mark on the second lap and picking up just three on the third.

Adding insult to injury, the Repsol Honda Team rider was also penalized with 2 points for running short of time. However the total tally of six points meant Toni Bou was the rider accruing the least number of points at the end of the first day of competition in France.
