“Handstands at 100mph” is designed to honor the legacy and heritage of Baja/Desert Off-Road Motorcycle Racing, the men and women who played a major role in it, and the motorcycles that made history going back to its very beginnings. It will also play host to a private screening of the 50th Anniversary Edition of On Any Sunday. Set for October 16 at Doffo Winery in Temecula, CA, the event will bring together the greatest gathering of Baja 1000, Barstow to Vegas, SCORE, Best In The Desert, D-37/38/MRAN #1s, Check Chase, Vegas to Reno, and any other major off-road desert racing champions ever assembled.

Baja/Desert/Rally Champions, AMA, Offroad Motorsports, and Trailblazer Hall of Famers Johnny Campbell and Scot Harden have come together to host this tribute to the desert racing community. According to Harden, the name of the event, “Handstands at 100mph” is a term every true desert motorcycle racer is familiar with. “Johnny and I have been talking about doing something special for the Baja/Desert Racing motorcycle community for some time,” Harden adds. “We want to honor the legacy and the heritage of the sport we love so much, bring together our friends and colleagues, and hopefully inspire the next generation of racers to pursue their own dreams and adventures through this type of racing.”

“Racing has given each of us so much over the years,” comments Campbell. “Not only our lives but the lives of so many others have been dedicated to this sport. We are specifically targeting racers, and the Clubs that have supported them over the years, their friends and families. We invite them all to come out and join us for an afternoon of bench racing, camaraderie, and good times. We have the awesome Doffo Winery to ourselves, some really cool motorcycles, and will cap the day off with a private viewing of the remastered On Any Sunday.”

“Handstands at 100pmph” activities start at 4:00 pm and run until 9:00 pm. Autograph sessions, interviews, and commentary on Baja/Desert racing will take place during the day. A 90-mile optional Dual Sport ride will be held for those wishing to ride first also based out of the Doffo Winery. The Dual Sport ride will be GPS-guided and led by Johnny and Scot. It starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm. A portion of the entry fee will go to the Kurt Caselli Foundation.

Reception/Party/Autograph Signing and Movie: $49 per ticket (Includes Baja taco plate, drink coupon, On Any Sunday private screening, and $10 donation to The Kurt Caselli Foundation)
