Everything is bigger in Texas, including the logistics required to transport Central Powersports Distribution's operation to a new purpose-built facility deep in the heart of the Lone Star State. In addition to being the source for AJP, Electric Motion, Rieju and SWM motorcycles, CPD houses a huge stock of legacy components for the older GasGas models as well as aftermarket components from leading brands like FunnelWeb, Hebo trials gear, S3 Parts, Viral Goggles and X-GRIP.
"Last week we boxed up all Rieju and GasGas Legacy parts that were located in Watertown, South Dakota," says head wrangler Mark Berg. "It was all loaded in a 53' container FULL to the top! The parts are on their way to our new office and warehouse location in Marshall, TX with an ETA of today!" However with the big move comes a bit of a hiccup in service.
"With this BIG move, we are sorry to announce that any OEM orders entered into CPD starting 6/12/23 for Rieju or GG legacy along with aftermarket parts will be delayed in shipping. It will take us a minimum of 3 more weeks to receive and put away over a half million in parts," Berg explains. "We apologize for this inconvenience."
However to make it right, Berg does have a bandaid in place: "In the meantime, we will place an airfreight order EVERY Monday from Rieju in Spain to just fill your orders so the wait should only be 1 to 2 weeks in total while waiting on our move. PLUS we will ship either priority mail or FedEx 2nd day depending on location to expedite those parts to you.
"Changes are never easy in life and while we will be sad to be leaving our home, our warehouse, our life since 2017... we are EXCITED for what's ahead in Texas," exclaims Berg. "Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we move into our new home."
