With the eyes of the motorcycle world on EICMA, Ducati unveiled its next gen Scrambler early. The new generation of Scramblers is based on three models: the flat track inspired “Full Throttle,” a “low” version of the Icon and the Nightshift, which were actually presented on the eve of EICMA, including a media ride beforehand. They also serve as the focal point for Ducati display in the Fiera show hall in Milano.

“This new generation confirms the simplicity and authenticity that have always represented the essential values for all Ducati Scrambler enthusiasts,” explains Ducati. “Scrambler is becoming more contemporary, colorful and endowed with an even more lively personality.” However the heart of the matter has not changed: Air-cooled Desmodue twin-cylinder engine, trellis frame, wide handlebars, low center of gravity and riding fun are enhanced by evolved electronics and more modern styling and concepts.”

Icon features a revised handlebar that is lower and closer to the rider, allowing more control over the bike. The seat has been redesigned with a different, more tapered, streamlined shape. Completing the design of this new generation of Icon are black under-seat side panels with Ducati Scrambler graphics.

Full Throttle is the sportiest Scrambler in the 2023 range, inspired by U.S. Flat Track racing. The side number plates feature #62 — 1962 was the debut year of the first Ducati Scrambler. Tracker style saddle and livery are augmented alloy wheels, sporty Termignoni silencer, Ducati Performance LED indicators and Quick Shift system coming standard on this model. The adjustable handlebar positions make for even more aggressive riding positions than the Icon.

The Nightshift is distinguished by more classic and refined details. Like Full Throttle, Nightshift features side number plates, a sporty front mudguard, the absence of a rear mudguard and compact LED indicators. The Nebula Blue color scheme and spoked rims make the Nightshift decidedly sophisticated in terms of appearance, completed with a flat-shaped, variable-section handlebar and bar-end mirrors in café racer style.

All three Scramblers will arrive at U.S. and Canadian dealers in Spring 2023. United States pricing for the Scrambler Icon will begin at $10,995. For Canada, the Ducati Scrambler Icon will start at an MSRP of $12,995 CAD. Full Throttle and Nightshift prices begin at $12,195 USD.
