TRUE CONFESSIONS

Although “Confessions of a Customer” has been Eric Anderson’s bailiwick for the past 30 years, it is time to come clean and confess that Dealernews does indeed have a hidden agenda. Just as the father of our nation George Washington is reputed to have said “I cannot tell a lie,” the July 4th Anniversary is as good a time as any to fess up! From the very first sheet of paper tacked to the wall of the meeting room at LAX entitled “AGENDA” supporting AIMExpo was literally and figuratively an agenda item for Dealernews 2.0. (see the unretouched image from June 5, 2018)

While it was no tea party, the group in that conference room spent 8+ hours trying to identify what the industry needed and what Dealernews could bring to the party. We all put our John Hancock’s on a memo of understanding, some people gave a month’s notice, and the magazine began working toward a July 4, 2018 announcement with the deliverable to be a return of a print magazine handed out at the AIMExpo in Las Vegas that year.

As Bob notes, “What Cinnamon Kernes and her team are doing matters greatly in the success of our entire industry…We are proud to partner with AIMExpo. To say Dealernews is “all-in” in Las Vegas parlance is an understatement. We are betting on a sure thing here!”
