TGB showed off its newfound commitment to the U.S. market at AIMExpo this year. Believing it was time to “Play Different”, Shakeel Jiva, President of Tiger Powersports, was looking to add a line at his dealership. But instead of bringing in a couple units for his store, he has become the U.S. source for Taiwan Golden Bee. “I met Lucy Hsiao (TGB export sales) in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. After researching TGB history and products, I was very impressed. TGB is ranked top 3 ATVs in key Asian and European markets and has UTVs ready to launch. So I decided to import TGB in the USA."
Good choice! “Response to our first batch of ATVs — 2 containers worth — was great," says Shak. “Our current dealers were very impressed with the quality and performance of TGB units… and even more potential dealers have been asking about them.”
We took the time to learn more from Shak at AIMExpo. “I came to the show to introduce TGB — which is short for Taiwan Golden Bee — to more dealers. We started importing the ATV units last year. Now we currently have a full range of ATVs in stock. Reception at the show was great, it was great! We had a lot of interested dealers… TGB is a very high-end, high-quality product, and many dealers came in and looked at it and signed up to become a TGB dealership.
And despite the recent supply chain issues, you were still able to get container loads of products?
We did have issues during the pandemic times. And container prices were high, which cut into margins and slowed some orders. But now that supply chain is getting much better and we have everything in stock.
And the other BIG news is the Side-By-Side.
Yes! The side-by-side is scheduled for mass production in August. So we should have it probably by September or October. TGB is one of the oldest manufacturers in the world. They actually produce components for major brands, going back to the early days of Vespa and including Polaris, Argo and Intimidator… Introducing a TGB to dealers in the U.S. was my honor.

Do you have a minimum order or buy in?
Well actually that's a good question. Most major brands like Polaris and others, require a very high investment to become a dealer or to open up a dealership — we only require four units. And there's basically six different models to choose from!
