The Motorcycle Industry Council is ramping up its Bankcard program to provide Dealers with tangible benefits. A credit card processing program specializing in payment solutions at the dealership level, MIC Bankcard has expanded the reach of its payment solutions and charged up its leadership. Funded and operated by Pineapple Payments (part of Fiserv), Bankcard also provided a substantial financial investment to the MIC’s Ridership Initiative earlier this year.
“MIC Bankcard Program was strategically created to help support growth and prosperity for powersports professionals through lowering dealership costs and increasing industry engagement,” explains Ray Smith, program lead. “We are powersports people helping powersports people.” Smith isn’t just playing lip service to the dealers; he started his 38-year career at Pacific Beach Honda back in 1983! Working alongside Smith are fellow industry veterans, providing more than 50 years of combined experience at the Dealer/manufacturer level.
A key benefit of the Bankcard Program is what it gives back to participating dealers in addition to saving money on every credit card transaction. Dealers receive complimentary MIC membership with access to proprietary industry statistics, sales data, educational events and representation on industry-related issues. “There is a real need to advance the powersports industry and create a better environment for Dealers to be successful,” adds MIC Membership Manager Lisa Delaney. “Not only does the MIC Bankcard Program give dealers more control over their payment processing, but it also gives them more control over their business and industry success.”
