The Motorcycle Safety Foundation commemorates its 50th anniversary this year. We took the opportunity to have MSF VP, Training Operations Robert Gladden walk us through what this means to the organization, the industry and the dealers in particular. With more than 30 years of experience at the dealership and top rungs of the aftermarket before joining MSF, Gladden is able to offer a unique perspective on how rider safety and training correlate to the turnstiles and range training requests at the dealer level. He has been with MSF since 2001 which helps with the historical context as well.
"It is a big deal to us — 1973 To 2023 seems to have kind of gone by in a flash," says Gladden. "In 1973 I was going from my Taco minibike to a Yamaha 80. I had no idea this is where I would be and have an opportunity to represent all the great people out in the field doing all the great work."
