IRVINE, CA – Orange County Harley-Davidson is under new ownership. The dealership was sold this month to Mark Smith, owner and operator of Stampede Harley-Davidson in Burleson, TX and Harley-Davidson of Fort Worth, TX.

“After 28 years of being a Harley-Davidson Dealer, we decided to sell Orange County Harley-Davidson,” said Ray Malzo who, with Bill Taylor, had been operating the dealership since 1990.

Orange County H-D was established in 1974 in Santa Ana and then moved to Irvine. At one point, part of the dealership was used as a research facility for The Motor Co.

“We had been looking to expand to Southern California and were very pleased to begin talks for Orange County Harley,” said Smith.

Smith is busy; he launched a major expansion of the Fort Worth dealership in October.

The Orange County H-D sale was facilitated by Performance Brokerage Services, which made the announcement.
